Here we go again!
The weather's changed again with the heatwave giving way to rain and thunderstorms. The high humidity seems to be really doing a number on my asthma, and symptom and salbutamol use wise I'm pretty much back to where I was when I was admitted to hospital two weeks ago. I've got my clinic appointment tomorrow and I'm hoping to be able to last until then, and I'm seriously considering taking an overnight bag in case they want to keep me in. I'm reluctant to call my asthma nurse, probably because I know she's going to tell me to go to A&E and I'm scared of being admitted again as I didn't feel safe there at all. I know I'd feel an awful lot better on nebs than struggling with inhalers, but I'm certain that I'm better off at home and I'm terrified of being stuck in a ward with no control over my triggers and having that feeling that I'm never going to escape.
I also have another reason to no want to be admitted, my poor pup has badly cut her paw and she's got her check up this afternoon to see how its healing and unfortunately the tissue glue they used on it hasn't worked and she's limping a lot so obviously in pain with it. She also seems to be having an allergic reaction to something that's causing swelling round her eyes and face but thankfully not affecting her mouth and airways so far, but I need to be around to keep an eye on that! I really hope is not her antibiotics causing the reaction.
If things continue to decline I'll get myself off to hospital and if not I'll reassess myself after the dog's been to the vets and make a decision then. I'm a little bit worried that if I am admitted I won't get to go to my clinic appointment and the asthma nurses may be to busy to visit me on the ward again. I feel that I really need to see someone who is familiar with my case so really don't want to miss clinic.
